My husband h1b is approved till 10/02/2022. My h4 & I-94 got expired on 10/02/2021. Can I do I-94 renewal at CBP sentri office?
Is it because CBP issued shorter validity I94 due to your passport expiring before the expiry of your I797/ I94 or is it that you forgot to file an extension of status.
if it was due to passport expiry and you renewed the passport you can visit the CBP and present your I797 and new passport along with copy of primary’s H1B I797 and they should be able to issue a new I94 matching your I797 expiry.
If it is because you forgot to file extension of status, you can try CBP renewal only if you have a valid H4 visa however I strongly suggest filing extension of status application using NPT via immigration lawyer.
Hey…if we have already filed h4 extension but haven’t received approval yet. Can we go to land border CBP office(before current h4 visa expires) and get h4 i94 extended based on h1b’s i797 document.
