I have applied for PCC at San Francisco Indian consulate 3 weeks ago and still waiting. My recent passport renewed from the same consulate in 2015.
As per other discussions, PCC shouldn’t take more than a week if recent passport was issued by any Indian consulate in USA. Could you please share any timelines from this consulate for PCC?
Normally, if the passport is issued by Indian consulate in USA, they issue PCC within 3-4 days.
I am not sure why is it taking longer for your case. It is possible that they have sent your application to Indian passport office for verification.
In that case, it is normal to get PCC in 4-6 weeks.
