I-485 filing denied while active F1. Can I still stay on F1?

Hello Sir,

My Son is currently on active F1. I am filing his I-485, AOS application as Derivatives. In case if USCIS deny his the I-485, Can his F-1 will be still active and he can stay on F-1?

AOS denial shouldn’t impact other non-immigrant status if it is still valid/active at the time of denial.
