How to distribute Indian bank accounts of NRI Mother who passed away in the US. All heirs are also NRIs

Dear Sir,

My mother was an NRI with bank and pension accounts in India. She passed away recently. She has a will made and notarized in the US that lists all her 4 children as heirs who are also NRIs. 3 of her children want to give the power of attorney to one sibling to take care of closing the accounts and transferring the funds to the US.

How should we proceed if we cannot travel to India.

  1. Do I need to get a legal heirship certificate if her will lists all the heirs?

  2. Do I need to get PoAs from my sibling that will empower me to take care of dealing with the bank and transferring the funds to the US?
