We applied for i485 Oct 2020 and received EAD cards and along with it my daughter (17 yr old) got her SSN. We wanted to continue with our H1 status till we get our Green card so applied for H1 extension under premium processing for my husband along with H4 extension for myself and my daughter. H1 got approved while we got our biometrics appt for H4. Can my daughter use her SSN for FAFSA (financial aid for colleges) and still continue her H4 status? Thank you!
She should be able to use SSN.
