Regarding L2 EAD

Hi ,
My husband in L1A visa and filed i140 under EB1 category on March 2021 and its not approved yet . My L2 visa got approved this month and I wish to file for L2 EAD and this is the first time to apply for EAD .

Can we file for L2 ’ EAD’ while i140 is in pending ? Does filing L2 ’ EAD’ create any impact on EB1 process ?

There is no need to have I140 approved to get EAD for L2. This rule only applies to H4.
