I94 expiring due to passport expiry but H1B valid over an year

Hello Anil,

My H1B expires September 2020. My passport expires May 2019, due to which when I entered US early this year, the officer gave me I94 only til May 2019. I got my new passport now.

Should I go out of US and come back before May 2019? Is there any alternate way to get I94 updated other than exiting and re entering US?

There are only 3 ways by which your i94 can be extended. Visiting US Mexico border CBP office is fastest and easiest.
