Australia 189 / 190 Visa PR Granted
Once granted, you get Permanent residency for 5 years. The name 189/190 visa says ‘Visa’ but it is actually a PR for 5 years.
After 4 years of living in Australia, you can apply for Australia citizenship.
Australia 189 Visa PR First entry validation date
You get a first entry by date meaning that you should enter Australia at-least once before that date.
This entry is to validate your Australia PR for 5 years. You can go out of Australia as per your choice after this entry.
This entry date is usually 12 months from your most recent Police clearance certificate date or the medical assessment report date, whichever is earlier.
Job offer is NOT needed to travel. Once you get PR, you just need to travel to Australia once to validate the PR.
Job Hunting from outside Australia
If you want to be ready for starting work on day 1, you can start looking out for jobs too and try to find which state you would like to move to.
Search for jobs online, apply and give interviews.
But, usually, most companies would prefer a candidate with a valid PR before they take interviews as they don’t want to waste their time on someone who’s PR is still in processing with no defined timeline.
