I got my L1A approved two weeks back , no update on my dependents L2EAD . How long it took for your L2 Approval post L1A approval. L1A was filed on premium and I received RFE .

This exactly my case now but my l2 ead expires by 6/10/2019. L1 got RFE and trying to respond. I read on USCIS website that there is an automatic authorization up to 180 days if renewal is filed timely before expiry

But I am little confused now. I am also waiting for the h1b lottery results done in April 2019 and not sure what could be done if I get my application picked up to continue work.

The automatic 180 day EAD extention rule is not applicable for H4 and L2 EAD.

Great explanation, now I am 100 pecent sure I can’t work beyond June 10th for 3 months if L1 is approved.

As I mentioned I am waiting for h1b lottery results, if my application is picked up before the expiry, is there a way I can continue working? The project I am working on at this moment is in critical phase and they need me too.

Please suggest

The earliest you can start work on H1B is Oct 1, if your H1B is approved after lottery selection.
