Is IELTS Academic 6.5 score accepted for Spouse Functional English?

Hi Anil Gupta,
If I want to prove functional English for spouse for the 189 visa and she has got 6.5 in IELTS Academic, dated 3 months back will this suffice or she has to undertake IELTS general .
( I am not claiming Spouse points).
