For those who have got their #usa:h4-ead by filing a H4 extension, is the start date on your card the date you received your EAD by mail (or a week from when you got the card)?
or is it the day when your new H4 extension would take effect (October 1st say)?
H4 EAD Validity START date = The date your H4-EAD application is approved.
H4 EAD Validity EXPIRY date = The date your H4 expires or H1B expiry whichever is earlier.

I recently got my H1B extension approved until March, 2023 and my spouse’s H4 extension is still pending with USCIS. We currently have stamped Visa’s until Sep 30, 2020. Can i apply for my spouse’s H4 EAD based on my recent H1B approval even when H4 extension is pending? If yes, then until what date will USCIS issue the H4 EAD? Will it be until Sep 30, 2020 or March, 2023?

The H4 EAD date will be lesser (earlier) of H4 or H1B validity.

I am currently on h1 with expiry in oct. Applied for h4 and ead with future date. My h4 was approved in June itself so raised a service ticket to correct the typo error. Received update h4 with Future date (oct). Recently received ead with start date in August. Not sure what I should be doing now.
