I485 with previous company that has been acquired

I have a I140 approved by Company A. I changed job 2 years back to company B. Company A got acquired by company C. Company C is willing to hire me and my green card date is current.

Can I file for green card directly with company C without doing perm and I140?

If company C is successor-in-interest they may file an amendment to approved I-140 from the predecessor and retain the priority date. New PERM is not required if company C is able to offer the same Green Card job and can demonstrate ability to pay the wage in the PERM files by the predecessor.

If your date is current, your employer can file SII amendment to I-140 & AOS/EAD/AP concurrently.
