H4 valid till 12/31, H1B extension got approved till 2024

Hi,
Dependent current H4 is valid until 12/31 this year, I have applied for H1B extension and got approved till 2024.
I am not planning to apply for H4 right now as we have India travel plans.

Questions:

  1. Is H4 still valid until 12/31? or i do need to apply for H4 based on my H1 approval.
  2. Can i get stamped in india for H4 instead of applying from here.

H4 is will remain valid till 12/31 as you, the primary, is in a valid H1B status.

You may opt for consular processing via visa stamping.
