My H4 status ends on Nov 1st 2023 and I 94 admit date also untill Nov 1st 2023. So, If I file H4 extension in May 2023 let’s say 5months before my end date, then can I work continuously on the receipt notice as per 180days auto extension i.e till April 2024?
For H4 EAD auto-extension, you need a valid I-94 and the EAD renewal must be applied before the current EAD expires. If your H4 extension isn’t approved before 1st Nov, you will need to stop working
Note that the auto-extension is now for 540 days.
