H4 approval from Husband’s new employer has a future date

Hi Anil,

My H4 petition was approved through my husband’s previous employer And was valid till December 31,2023. I applied one more extension in November 2021 due to job change by my husband through new employer . Now I received my h4 approval is starting from January 1,2024 which is a future date. Is it okay . Is my H4 approval from previous employer will be valid until December 31, 2023. Should I raise request with USCIS to correct the dates.

H4 is not employer dependent so your current H4 will be good till its expiry and then your new H4 will start. During the entire period the primary H1B must maintain a valid status.

No action required.
