H1B working temporarily from a non-home location

Hello All,

I am on an H1B visa, I live in NY. Since March I’ve been working from home due to the current pandemic. My girlfriend lives in Ohio, she recently fell and hurt her knee. I am planning to visit and stay in Ohio for 3 weeks and then return to NY. I’ve informed my boss about this, and he is fine. Since I am on H1B, I wanted to ask if we are allowed to work remotely from non-home location.

Temporary short term work may or may not be an issue.
