GC processing after moving to different employer

Hi,
I have I-140 approval(6 months passed) for Emp A. If I move to employer B, Should Emp B start PERM & I-140 again for sure immediately ?
OR can Emp B apply for I-140 & I-485 concurrent filing whenever my Emp A priority date becomes current after 10, 20 or whatever years later by taking H1B extensions using Emp I-140.

Thanks!

Your new employer can file for PERM and i140 in future when the priority date gets current. No need to apply right away.

Thanks a lot @Anil_Gupta !

Hi Anil,

Just a follow up on this answer. Let’s say, Company B never initiated GC process. Can we move to company C using Company A’s i140 and get 3 year extension?

Thanks!

Yes, you can move to company C with A’s i140.

Thank you @Anil_Gupta
