Filing both H4 extension and COS H4 - F1

Hi,
My H4(I-94) expires in August-2018. Planning to pursue Masters - Summer intake.

o Can I file H4 extension, while the application for COS H4 to F1 is already at the USCIS?

o If we can file both H4 extension & COS (H4 to F1). For instance, if COS H4 to F1 gets approved first. Is it possible to withdraw H4 extension petition?

Any advice & suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Yes, you can file both extension and change of status simultaneously.

You can also withdraw any application anytime if it is still pending final result with USCIS.
