Can I start with new employer on Fedex receipt?

Hi Anil,

I am on H-1B Visa. My new employer filed H1 transfer today. Can I start with new employer on Fedex receipt? or Do I need wait for physical receipt form USCIS?

It is better to wait for USCIS receipt number.

Generally, Fedex receipt is considered pretty reliable but don’t be in too much hurry as it can backfire.

I had recently seen a case where the package was sent to USCIS in Dec 2018 last week but USCIS acknowledged and generated the receipt on 14 Jan, 2019.

If this happens to you, you will be in trouble!
