On Apr 11, 2019, my husband’s employer filed H1-B extension for my husband and H4 extension and EAD renewal for me.
H1-B has been approved and processed in premium.
Following is detailed information on my H4 and EAD application.
Apr 11, 2019 - USCIS received Form I-765 and sent us the receipt.
Apr 11, 2019 - USCIS received Form I-539 and sent us the receipt.
Apr 29, 2019 - Bio metrics appointment.
For both - EAD (I-765) and H4 (I539) - USCIS site shows case status - “Case was Received”
We have filed applications from Redmond, WA, USA
Application processing center - Nebraska
Current H4 is expiring in 2nd week of Aug 2019.
Apart from EAD renewal, I’m concerned about my H4 extension as my current H4 is expiring in 2nd week of Aug 2019.
When can I expect H4 / H4-EAD approval?
What are my options in case H4 extension is not processed by current expiry date?
Thanks in Advance!
There has been no H4 and H4 EAD Approval after Biometrics by Nebraska yet.
We are tracking multiple cases and will share once we hear it.
There is no need to worry for H4 even if it expires as you filed an extension before your i94 expiry. You can stay in US as long as the application is pending result by USCIS.
Thanks for your prompt response and the information on H4.
“No H4 and H4 EAD approval by Nebraska” sounds bad.
I will follow your posts for any updates on this.
Appreciate the information on H4. That’s a huge relief.
Just to reconfirm: do you mean, I would not need any other document/ any other formalities to complete, if my H4 is expired while the renewal request is pending with USCIS?
Once again, thanks for your response and the information.
Hi @Sheetal ,
Don’t worry. h4 extention delays are normal. You are fine as long as you have filed H4 before your i94 expiry.
Great, Thank you so much!
